Fitness & Films #5- Shrek!

You know you have those urges to watch a kids movie every once in a while (to be honest, I get them quite frequently). Well, it's time to indulge in our favorite green monster, and have a nice lil' workout while doing it!






Shrek Workout (most ideal for the original, but works for the others too)



1. Shrek does something gross (fart, burp, bathe in mud, etc): 20 Crunches


2. Shrek yells at Donkey: 10 Triceps Dips


3. Reference to Farquad's lack of height: 10 Inverted Push Ups


4. 'Noble steed' or 'steed' is said: 5 Burpees

5. Anyone/Anything breaks into song: Bicycle Crunches for the duration of the song

6. Donkey freaks out: Chair sits for 30 seconds (or until he calms down, whichever is longer)


7. Dragon and Donkey interact: 20 Supermans (slow)


8. "That'll do donkey, that'll do" is said: Plank for 1 minute


9. Shrek wants to be alone / mentions being alone: 20 Leg Raises (slow)


10. Shrek Karaoke (after the movie): If you know all the words, sing and dance (trying to mimic their movements). If you don't know the words, dance twice as large- No stopping, either way!
